Hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating that's not always related to heat or exercise. You may sweat so much that it soaks through your clothes or drips off your hands. Heavy sweating can disrupt your day and cause social anxiety and embarrassment. Hyperhidrosis treatment usually helps. It often begins with antiperspirants. If these don't help, you may need to try different medications and therapies. In severe cases, your health care provider may suggest surgery to remove the sweat glands or to disconnect the nerves related to producing too much sweat. Hyperhidrosis may be present from birth or might develop later in life. However, most cases of excessive sweating tend to start during a person’s teenage years. The most effective treatment for hyperhidrosis is endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy (ETS), a surgical procedure. |

What treatment options are available for hyperhidrosis, both non-invasive and invasive? Reply:- Hyperhidrosis is a condition characterized by inordinate sweating beyond what's necessary to regulate body temperature. There are several treatment options available for hyperhidrosis, bothnon-invasive and invasive. Then are some of the generally used treatments Non-invasive treatments Topical antiperspirants untoward or tradition- strength antiperspirants containing aluminum chloride can be applied to the affected areas to reduce sweating. Iontophoresis This treatment involves immersing the affected areas( generally hands or bases) in water while a low electrical current is passed through it. Iontophoresis can temporarily block the sweat glands, reducing sweating. specifics Certain oral specifics similar as anticholinergics may be specified to help reduce inordinate sweating. still, they may have side goods and are generally used for generalized hyperhidrosis. Botox injections Botulinum poison( Botox) can be fitted into the affected areas, temporarily blocking the jitters responsible for sweating. The goods generally last for several months before fresh injections are needed. Invasive treatments Endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy( ETS) This surgical procedure is generally used for severe cases of hyperhidrosis. It involves cutting, setting, or destroying the jitters responsible for sweating in the affected areas. ETS is most generally used for inordinate sweating in the hands, but it can also be performed for the armpits or face. still, ETS carries pitfalls and implicit complications. Sweat gland junking In some cases, surgical junking of sweat glands may be considered as a treatment option. This procedure is frequently used for axillary hyperhidrosis( inordinate sweating in the armpits). |
