My child has been diagnosed with a dermoid cyst in right ovary accidently through USG. MRI report-"well defined rounded lesion measuring 3.6x3x39cms in right adnexa showing predominantly fluid signal. An area of fat signal is noted with few signal voids of calcification. The lesion is not separate from right ovary". She is just 3 years and asymptomatic. Is there any chance of preserving the ovarian tissue? Is oophorectomy the only way to remove the dermoid? All tests have been done and all the markers are in normal range. |

It is better to remove the dermoid cyst. It can be removed without damaging the ovary. |

The doctors here said that they can't save the ovary as it is very small. Please tell us the approximate cost of the surgery at Your hospital and the duration of the hospital stay. Dear Sir, Please send your reports to give any opinion. |
